Due to the potential for severe weather tomorrow afternoon, Isle of Wight County Schools will be closed on Monday as a precaution. This closure includes all schools and administrative departments.
According to the National Weather Service and Isle of Wight County Emergency Management, our area may experience strong thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and the possibility of tornadoes later in the day. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of our students and staff, the decision has been made to close schools and offices.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and remain in close communication with county emergency management officials.
