Media Arts Students Honor Patriot Day on the Today@GTMS Morning Announcements
Titan Media Arts students produce our daily announcements video broadcast program, Today@GTMS. September 11, 2205 they dedicated the program to Patriot Day 9/11 and encouraged students to join them in the daily moment of silence dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, their families, and the first responders who acted so bravely that day.The Today@GTMS moment of silence dedication for September 11, 2005 stated, "Today is Patriot Day, proclaimed by George W. Bush to honor those who lost their lives on this day, September 11th, 2001, when multiple terrorist attacks caused lives to be lost in New York City, Washington D. C. and in Pennsylvania.
In his proclamation for this day to be commemorated as Patriot Day, President Bush stated, 'On the observance of Patriot Day, we remember and honor those who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We will not forget the events of that terrible morning nor will we forget how Americans responded in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania -- with heroism and selflessness; with compassion and courage; and with prayer and hope.'
As we begin our day, please join us to pause for a special moment of silence dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and for the first responders who acted so bravely that day." Thank you from our Media Arts students.
