Isle of Wight County Schools is joining the Virginia Food for Virginia Kids 2025 Cohort, which focuses on
increasing scratch cooking, prioritizing local procurement, and providing student-inspired meals in schools
across Virginia. This partnership could positively impact over 177,000 students across the 241 schools
participating in the 2025 Cohort. In addition to IWCS, the selected divisions for the 2025 Cohort include Hopewell City Public Schools, Gloucester County Public Schools, Rappahannock County Public Schools, Dickenson County Public Schools, Bristol Virginia Public Schools, and Cumberland County Public Schools.

Virginia Food for Virginia Kids is an initiative of the Virginia Department of Education Office of School and
Community Nutrition Programs. The Chef Ann Foundation has partnered with them to support the 2025-26
VFVK Cohort.
