IWCS Announces Feeding Plan for Students During Closure along with Additional Information for Families ***See Changes Below

Division Feeding Plan

While schools are closed for the next to weeks, any child who is in need of meals can receive breakfast and lunch through the division’s feeding program. Beginning Monday, March 16,  through Friday, March 27, meals will be offered to all students without charge, at the locations listed below. To maintain the safety guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), meals will be provided using a drive by/pickup model. They will be bagged and include both a breakfast and lunch. Should pickup dates or sites be changed, you will be notified via Connect 5, on our website and through our official social media channels.

IWCS Modifies Locations and Times for Meal Distribution Sites Beginning Monday, March 23

To better serve our students and families during this time of school closure, Isle of Wight County Schools has modified the locations and times for meal distribution throughout the county. The division is adding 15 new meal distribution locations to reach more students.  In total, school buses will be delivering meals to 31 locations in Isle of Wight County. 

There are some time changes to current sites in order to accommodate the expansion of the program. 

As a reminder, meals will continue to be available from 11:30am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday at Smithfield High School, Georgie Tyler Middle School, and Carrsville Elementary School. 

**Beginning Monday, March 30, Isle of Wight County Schools will be delivering meals to students in Red Oaks Mobile Home Community. An IWCS bus and volunteers will distribute meals on site from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday through Friday.
