Program Description

The IWCS summer school program will provide students with the opportunity to take a new course during the summer for high school credit.  This will open-up their schedule during the school year and give them more flexibility to take advanced classes (AP, Dual Enrollment), add additional electives or participate in regional programs (Governor’s Schools).   The tuition-based program will be delivered in an online format and will be facilitated by an IWCS teacher. Students must have access to the internet outside of school.

June 24 – August 4


Student Tuition

Tuition:  $250 for currently enrolled IWCS students; $290 for non IWCS students.  (Courses will need to meet a minimum enrollment of 10 students to be offered.)


Student Registration

May 13 - June 7


After June 7, students who withdraw from the program will be refunded at the following rate

  • June 8 - June 13 -- $150  
  • After June 13 -- No Refund
 
Health & PE 9 &10 are offered free during the school year with the Driver Education Classroom course embedded into the10th grade health class. Driver Education Classroom is NOT offered during the summer class. VDOE does have a virtual driving classroom course for a $109 cost. The registration is at http://vadriveredu.org/login/index.php .   There are also numerous private driving schools in the area that charge for classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
