The administration and staff here at Georgie D. Tyler Middle School are committed to making sure that every student that attends our school has a productive and enjoyable experience. We believe that by recognizing the uniqueness of the transition from childhood to adolescence we can provide a better opportunity for the middle school student to achieve mastery of the curriculum.
We further believe that we must provide for the diverse needs of all students through the shared commitment of home, school and community. Collaborative support among all stake holders is essential in the development of self-image and in the fostering of positive academic, social, and personal growth.
We believe in a collaborative leadership style which empowers teachers to create an educational environment and delivery system for all students to learn. This is a practical approach for educating today's youth in an effort to meet the state and national requirements.

Georgie D. Tyler Middle School, as a partnership comprised of students, parents community, staff and administrators sharing common moral and educational goals and aspirations. This partnership must strive to ensure every student receives an education which will allow them to be successful, self-reliant and self-supporting adults able to make their way in our ever more complex world.
The administration and staff of Georgie D. Tyler Middle School dedicate ourselves to the formulation and implementation of programs which will provide instruction that is relevant to the middle school student.
