After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Old Dominion University I began my teaching career. I started in Southampton County Public Schools and then taught in Chesapeake City Public Schools. When my husband and I started our family, I took time off to raise our three boys and take care of family members. I stayed involved with teaching by working as an assistant and substituting and am now truly excited to continue my teaching career with Isle of Wight County Schools.
My goal is to encourage the students I work with to discover what interests them and makes them unique, and maybe even challenge them to try new things. I want to do what I can to assist them along their journey of lifelong learning.
