Hello! My name is Alexandra Hodges. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Christopher Newport University in 2014. After several years of working in non-profit development and volunteer management, I felt the calling to be a teacher. I returned to school at Old Dominion University and received my teaching license through the Career Switcher Program. I have taught for Isle of Wight County Schools since 2017.

 

My goal for my students is that they develop a love for reading and experience the adventures, lessons, and self exploration found in literature. I also want my students to discover and then develop their inner author. I am passionate about creating a safe, loving, and fun learning environment in which my students can grow. 

 

When I am not teaching, I am usually reading or volunteering. I also enjoying hunting, fishing, and working out. I love Windsor, dogs, history, and Redskins football!
